Bio

He is the second-year Ph.D. student in Statistics at The University of Manchester, supervised by Dr. Jingsong Yuan and Dr. Georgi Boshnakov. His research now is funded by the Dean's Scholarship Award. Prior to that, he obtained his Master's and Bachelor's degree from Beihang University under the supervision of distinguished Prof.  Suling Jia, Prof. Qiang Wang and Prof. Yanfei Kang.

His current research focuses on statistical time series forecasting with deep learning methodology, with the aim at leveraging the interpretability of statistical methods and the strong predictive ability offered by machine learning.

Apart from academic research, he has worked as a project manager in some enterprise-level big data projects and accumulated rich experience in engineering applications. He has provided some intelligent solutions for the enterprise to tackle some real business problems like COPFNH (Crude Oil Price Forecasting Incorporating News Headlines), WPSESD (Word Prediction and Sentence Expression Standard Detection) and so on.
